I have found that when I am overcome with emotion and I feel powerless- one of the best things I can do with my feelings is create. I have always loved to draw outside the lines, and so it probably didn’t surprise my parents at all when they saw that I was writing on the wall with Sharpies. But what DID surprise me was the art that poured out, the words that would eventually become the name of my company: I love it when. I love it when you realize your power, it’s time we all started living in it.
I started painting and drawing on my bedroom wall in April 2020- just a few weeks after COVID19 began to change our world.
I left my full time, salaried job in July 2020 to start my own business- I Love It When.
I wake up every morning to these words. Repetition is everything.
